Meet Effie
Effie Phillips-Staley is a Tarrytown Trustee and a non-profit executive who has dedicated her career to social justice and public service. The daughter of a teacher from El Salvador, and a U.S. military veteran who served in two wars, Effie was raised with common-sense values in a union household. She understands that diversity is a strength, that unions built America and that no one should struggle to house their family or afford healthcare.
