Meet Effie
Effie Phillips-Staley is an activist, a Tarrytown Trustee and a non-profit executive who has dedicated her career to social justice and public service. The daughter of a migrant from Central America and a veteran who served in two wars, Effie was raised with common-sense, working class values in a union household. She understands that diversity is a strength, that unions built America and that no one should struggle to feed their family or afford healthcare.
